hi
my electron card expired at the end of sept , phoned halifax on the 1st oct to find out if they had sent out new card, was told it was sent
out the 18th sept, i went into the branch the next day to order a new one, now what with the postal strike i probably wont receive it possibly
until the end of next week.
went into my local branch today to withdraw some money out and was told that i will not be able to draw anymore money out as you are only allowed one emergency withdrawal. can they do this ?
i am fuming . i have 2 young children to feed and i do not have alot of money going into my bank.

Change banks - don't let them treat you that way.
Most banks do let you withdraw as many times as you like if you bring in a statement and passport.
One emergancy withdrawl per year sounds pathetic, have you tried telling them you have 2 young children?
That could work, or they could just tell you again to wait for the card, which you shouldn't really have too as they could easily have sent it a month before the other card ran out.Hi, I've already asked and been granted for permission via PM for a Help for Heroes link. Pfft.
As my previous signature said, I support Help for Heroes0 -
there has been delays with some halifax card due to suppliers, but this should be rectified now
I don't know about this one emergency withdrawal, as this isn't a rule in the branch I am at - never heard of that. Say to them its not your fault quote the delays as you have heard from me0
