15 year old son ... what deals can he cash in on this summer before turning 16 in Sep

Hi, they all think there is nothing to do in the summer hols but how much could he save by doing things now rather than in a month's time?
He's just been let down by the amazing NCS who have a strict Aug 31st cut-off for 16th birthdays ... 4 weeks of quality input for £25!!! But he is too young to qualify by 9 days.
So that means we could spend the next month celebrating discounted prices for teens instead.
Suggestions please!

Breakfast at a Premier Inn. Maximum of 2 kids under 16 can eat free when an adult purchases a breakfast.

Get a friends and family railcard before he turns 16 and it will still be valid for the whole duration.

We've just returned from a one night stay in a Holiday Inn with our 17yo and were told that the adult rate for him staying in our room applied from age 16, so maybe do a mini break.
My understanding of NCS is it's aimed at those leaving yr11, so he can take part next year.0
