I'm going to make a few batches of soup this week coming too. Tesco still have their value range stick blenders for around £5, I had to buy a new one a month ago ;)

What do you do with it whilst you're wheeling the supermarket trolley around?
:p I'm a singleton, what the heck would I be using a shopping trolley for?! A basket is plenty.

Actually, I have just acquired (50p, from a chazzer) a tall, narrow basket which fits perfectly into my pushbike's basket. I shopped with it two nights ago, put my goods into it, offloaded onto the conveyor, showed its emptiness to the cashier and re-loaded it. Simplicity itself.

Advantage for me being that I knew that what I'd bought was a perfect fit for the carrying capacity on the pushbike.

You could cycle round the supermarket picking stuff up, that'd be a quick shop

When I used to live in a top floor flat I would sometimes order 200 odd cans of baked beans and some 2l fizzy drinks, I'd pay £1 for delivery and they'd carry it up the stairs

 Strewth! That's a dangerous combination - did you live in the Windy City, by any chance?

24p a meal, can't go wrong! A lot of supermeerkats would only allow you to order 50 of one item, so in truth id but spaghetti hoops at 16p a can too, and maybe some curry sauce (got tired of that quick though) - and custard I think was 20p a can. I had to give some if it away when I moved though. You can live on beans though, there are people who have

However I did develop eczema and I eventually found I was omega 3 deficient (limbs were going cold), so I take supplements and skin quality has improved too

I now can't dislodge from my mind the image of GreyQueen pedaling furiously round the SM aisles..... :D

I usually have a wire SM basket on my lap, and when it's full - or my knees start complaining about the weight - it's time to head for the checkout and hope I've managed to get everything on my list. I have a "backpack" thingy on the back of my wheelchair, which in turn has a supply of cloth bags inside it, as Mr LW can't pack shopping properly to save his life.

    Why should it?

Because the way most people signal that they aren't shoplifting is by keeping stuff they haven't paid for separate from the stuff they have.
