Hi guys
I have been offered a contract position that I will be remotely working from home. The only issue is I have really bad broadband.... What are the best options for an alternative? I have a 4G mifi unit that I sometimes use with a 20GB data limit. Is this my only option? Or is there other options out there?
Thanks in advance

It's the speed. Everyone in our flat is the same. 2/3mb connections. But i will need high data speeds with the 3D models I will be working on0

Assuming your existing broadband can't be fixed/improved the alternatives depend on your location. Virgin Media area? Any wireless broadband providers locally?
So long as you've got a decent signal, an affordable plan and a suitable data allowance 4G is not a bad option. I use 4G for my home internet (EE) and it's perfectly fine, I pay £30 a month for a 50G capped service. I get around 120Mbit/s and no issues with streaming video or audio etc.
I bought a mifi plan then purchased a decent 4G router off eBay to get better WiFi and higher 4G speeds.0 -

This sounds like a good option, thank you.... That is some cracking speeds you are getting0 -
It's a last resort, but if necessary there's satellite broadband.
It's relatively expensive, with high latency, and can be affected by weather, but it's available if there are no other solutions.

Na, 4G is a better option0 -
We live in a village and been trying to get faster internet for 2 years. There is no Virgin Media or fibre option as yet. We struggled with between 4-5 Mbps for a year, kept dropping out, phoned our provider (john Lewis, supplied by plusnet I think) , had another moan and they changed something or adjusted something now we get between 10-14 Mbps. (Currently having connections problems though as per my other thread on here)
We're hoping for Gigaclear soon but not enough have signed up for it, so at best we are currently making do with up to 14 Mbps0 -
We have a SIM only (phone type) with 30GB of data plus calls and texts. It cheaper than a mobile + landline + broadband by a long way. Most offer tethering to the data limit and decent 4G speeds for most of the day, but I find speeds from about 4pm to 8pm slow significantly due to peak demand.
Three offer 30GB data, all the data can be tethered, unlimited mins and texts for £20 a month on a 12 month contract. http://www.three.co.uk/Store/SIM/Plans_for_phones0
