Hi
I am going to London for the first time in 20 years, and would like to do the usual sightseeing.
Is the HOHO bus the best way to do this in a day? Are there any 2-4-1 deals?
We will be staying in the Hyde Park area for two nights, travelling by train to Euston. I am assuming that we just get the tube from Euston to Hyde Park. I have been told that I can use a normal contactless debit card, and this works the same way as an Oyster card, tho I dont know anything about tube travel.
Thanks for any help

Try putting your hotel into the journey planner HERE, for the nearest station, there are several tube stations covering the Hyde Park area and it could be quite a walk if you end up the opposite side of the park.
Contactless cards are the way to go but you will need one per person, just make sure you tap in and out as you enter and leave the tube system. It's all explained on the TfL site.
You can get 241 deals, including a hop on-hop off bus tour by showing your train tickets, more details HERE0 -
Thanks Pompeyrich, that's brilliant!0

I have already paid for my train tickets. Can I still book HOHO bus on 2-4-1?
** Ignore above, was being dense. I have downloaded the voucher to my email which I believe I print out and take to the bus with my train tickets **0 -
If you live near a biggish station, you should be able to pick up a 2for1 leaflet, which has 6 or 8 vouchers printed in it, saves downloading them and a few spare if you decide to do something else.0

If you have a smartphone then the free Citymapper app is an excellent way to plan your travel around London (and a couple of dozen other cities worldwide).
Hyde Park itself is worth a stroll. At a fairly brisk pace you can walk around the Serpentine & the Long Water in an hour. Buckingham Palace isn't too far to walk either.
There are some Routemaster buses on the Number 9 route that goes along Piccadilly but most of the buses are modern nowadays although if you get the HOHO bus for your entire trip this probably wouldn't be worth it.
Us Londoners have a reputation of surliness but we're not as bad as all that, we're just constantly in a hurry! We are mostly friendly, honestly.0
