Unused credit cards

Hi all
So I have a couple of credit cards that I no longer use (I still have one that I do use, although there is nothing on there as the moment)
In terms of my credit file and rating, bearing in mind I wish to apply for an AIP soon, then hopefully a mortgage, does it look better if I have active credit that I am not using, or is it better to have less credit available (in which case I will cancel the unused cards) or does it not make much difference either way?
Thanks for your help

Frankly doesn't make a difference much either way.
It may be worth keeping in case you ever need them. It's always prudent to have 2 credit cards in case one doesn't work for whatever reason also.
