I am going back to university to do a masters from Sept 2017.
I work full time and have been given day release in order to complete the course.
What I am asking is if anyone knows if I would be eligible for any of the traditional student perks such as council tax reduction and any other tax relief such as mileage expenses (the uni is about 45 miles away)? Considering I still earn a full time salary (c.30k) and have a full time job.
Would I be in the bracket for grants? I got some when I did my undergrad degree and my parents combined income was more than mine currently is. I am obviously applying for the masters loan.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

The rules for eligibility for council tax exemption can be found here

You certainly won't get any tax relief for mileage, I'm not sure why you would even think that's a possibility.
There are no grants for postgraduate study, but you may be eligible for awards or bursaries offered by your university and other bodies, but competition for them is likely to be fierce.

On 30k you wouldn't be eligible for any grants for part-time study! I made less than half that while doing my MA part-time and still had to pay full council tax and was told that hardship fund access was only for students with dependents and much, much lower income. You won'r get a bursary if you are part-time with your income. You'll get a student card so you can get student discount in shops etc, but that's it."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Paul Theroux0

I'm starting my part-time Masters in September and work full time. I am entitled to a student loan of just of £10,00 over 3 years. You can apply through the Student Loans company, in my case Student Loan Wales.
