Some have suggested using fictional personal details but perhaps the easiest solution now is to just buy a radio.

I do have a radio but it's downstairs, I have always just put the computer on in the past........Guess I could make it up, wonder if they make you validate an email address though.........
  • Hi,

you should be able to get it on Sky 0102 or a free-view box.

    Hi,

well I use BBCi for catchup, recording things next morning that I've missed.

ITV and Ch4 also require sign up, think idea is after awhile they get to know your viewing habits and send you wee prompts for programmes you might want to watch.

Edit: Think it's only email address and postcode they need, so they can send you prompts for your region.

I eventually gave in and registered: I used a fictional email address and gave my physical address as 10 Downing Street (not where I actually live!). It worked, and they know nothing about me.
