Hi I've bought an old house, the garden of which is quite big and covered in ivy. It really is bad - climbing trees, strangling trunks, walls, dripping from everywhere. I'm fed up with ivy from my neighbours trees hanging down and creeping into my garden, if I coat it with roundup or similar, will it kill the whole plant? if it does then I cant use it as the neighbours like it, so am I just stuck with trimming it and pulling it up every year as it comes in my garden?
