Arriving on 24th September 2007, Paprika is the latest film by Satoshi Kon, the acclaimed director of Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers. Based on the original futuristic story, Paprika was written by the great master of Japanese literature, Yasutaka Tsutsui, in 1993 and is the psychedelic story of a female detective who investigates criminal cases by entering the dreams of her subjects. The film also features music composed by Susumi Hirasawa who previously collaborated with Satoshi Kon on Millennium Actress and Paranoia Agent.

The DVD includes a filmmaker commentary.

Also arriving on 24th September 2007, Tekkonkinkreet is a visually-stunning new anime film from the creators of The Animatrix which is based on a popular Japanese manga written by Taiyo Matsumoto (Ping Pong). In Treasure Town, where the moon smiles and young boys can fly, life can be both gentle and brutal. This is never truer than for our heroes, Black and White, two street urchins who watch over the city, doing battle with an array of old-world Yakuza and alien assassins vying to rule the decaying metropolis. Tekkonkinkreet is a dynamic tale of brotherhood that addresses the faults of present day society, true love lost, and the kindness of the human heart.

The title Tekkonkinkreet is a play on the Japanese words for “concrete”, ”iron”, and “muscle”; It suggests the warring images of steel and concrete cities amassing against the powers of the imagination. Tekkonkinkreet features an electrifying original soundtrack from UK techno innovators (and frequent Bjork collaborators) Plaid.

The DVD includes filmmaker commentary, a making-of video diary and interviews with those involved.
