Question about ESA payments

I don't know if this is the right board but I recently received a payment of £115 but the thing is we were told that it was going to be backdated so is that really the right amount?

    More information required.

Whose claim is it? what is their age and marital status?
    When was the claim made?
What date was the claim claimed from?

Has there been any claim payments so far?
If yes, how long have the payments been recieved?
How often and how much were the previous payments?
    When did payments stop?
    Why did they stop?

Is the new claim from the 08/07/17 ?
Did they have a claim to benefit before that date? what benefit and what date did it finish? If it was ESA why did it finish?

A payment would not be made now up to the 14/08/2017, that would come on the 14/08/17.
14/08/17 is a Monday, does the claimants NI number finish with numbers between 00-19 ?
if so, the previous payday would be 31/07/17
If the start of the claim was 08/07/2017, and waiting days were
    08/07/17 - 14/07/17, first payment would be 15/07/17 - 31/07/17

First payment will most probably not be for a full 2 week period. Logically there is only a 1 in 10 likelihood of a full 2 week payment at the start of the claim.
