So DW has a big birthday and I am looking for a surprise break.
Early November, not too much traveling once we get there, city or resort as long as there are decent shows on. Not too many hills or steps to hotel as she has back problems, don't mind hiring a car though.
Under £700 if possible.

Paris would seem the obvious choice.0

Yep, you're right. didn't realise.0 -
You don't say what part of the country you are in, but if you want a show then in the Uk, London may be suitable.
If you are quick they have a new premier Inn Hub Hotel opening by Westminster Abbey with double room rates from about £35 in November. Basic accommodation, but then you can spend your money on other things.
The Lord Mayors show in London is on usually near the beginning of November, but not sure if someone with a bad back would be able to stand to watch it all and the fireworks in the evening over the Thames does get busy. You can buy grandstand seated tickets.0 -
Depends where you are, how many of you there are, and what you like. I stayed in a b&b in Blackpool

it was really good value and went to shows at night, the usual tourist things during the day. Or you could get week in a cottage somewhere, might be less chance of shows nearby but a week in November could be £250 then it's just your travel and food.

There's loads of different places on there, remember to go through topcashback.
As others have said, Premier Inn also do £29 night's, November is likely to be off peak.
Hope you find somewhere 0 -
