I,m just being driven crazy by virtually every day receiving automated messages from Kantar saying I have two messages in my IN box. Is there any way of turning these messages off? Do others receive them?

I only want to receive message that require action, provide genuine new info or telling me new surveys are available.

I only receive e-mails when there are genuinely new messages. Admittedly some of the messages are a bit pointless but don't get them often enough to be deemed a nuisance. Are there unread messages in your inbox ?

You get a reminder if you don't read them. So if you think you know what it is and don't bother reading it, that's when you get more messages.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
• Has anyone else on here recently been offered what transpires to be a non-existent placement on the Live Survey?

I recently accepted an offer to join, and got an email informing me that I'd receive my first posting pack in the week commencing 04/11/19.

Nothing arrived, so I messaged Kantar TNS, and got the following not very explanatory response:

“When we have sent you the message few weeks ago, this was when we were working according to our old processes.

Recently, we have implemented the new process which interferes with your survey start date. This is to help Royal Mail to get a wider insight on our panellists completing data entry.”

Uh? I’d like a proper reason please, not this unhelpful waffle.

I’m disappointed – but not at all surprised – that they didn’t bother to contact me after implementing “the new process”* to let me know that they’d made an error, as I was quite looking forward to joining up again.

* That is, the one that replaced the "old processes"...

Considering the number of !!!!-ups that Kantar TNS make on a regular basis of which we panellists are aware (not to mention mistakes they make which we know nothing about – and it’s fair to say that there will be some), one has to wonder how accurate the information that they feed back to Royal Mail is. They constantly emphasize and reiterate the importance of data integrity on our part, yet on the occasions when I have pointed out something on their website that is incorrect or out of date (e.g. a post office on their database which closed down years ago) their response -if one is even forthcoming - has been one of complete indifference – and the incorrect or outdated information has just been left as it is. So, just how much do they really care about data integrity, beyond paying lip-service to the concept?

Anyway, have a good day, everyone!

I did. And after couple of weeks, they found a space for me again.

Thanks, johnmoney05. I'm glad I'm not the only one, and pleased that they took you on shortly afterwards.

The reply from which I quoted also pointed out that I am on a six-month break, but maybe they'll deign to wheel me out of retirement sooner.
• I have been on and off the live panel now for the last 5 months....my longest stint was 4 week back on before being rested but sometimes its been shorter.

I was due to return on 18th of this month but this morning I got another email to say the date has been put back 2 weeks due to a glitch in their system.

Wish they could make their mind up as to whether they want me,but in the meantime I'm happy doing the mis and leaflet surveys....at least so far I'm not having to queue in the post office posting parcels with Christmas approaching.

Oh, how they tease us...
• I got an email at the end of October to say I was back on from 9 December but last night, had a message in the system to say that the start date was wrong and it would be 4 weeks from when the email was sent, being the end of November. Still none the wiser, but given the above, I have no idea if I’m on it or not!

Well if you log-in and read the message, you shouldn't get a reminder about it. And, if your account is up-to-date, you have the chance to win something in the daily draw.

[I did win a £10 a little while ago when, as a long-standing member of the panel, I had not received a win for years.]
