    It's in the rules somewhere:

"The safety of our forum users is paramount. For this reason, we can't allow anyone to exchange their personal details either on the open forum or via private message, however honourable the intention.

This means we don't allow selling, trading, exchanging, or swapping, or giving gifts. "
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I shouldn't worry about it - just letting you know for future reference.
Most people who sign up probably don't read the rules in full - I know I didn't.

A possible alternative for you Moll... Take your Love2Shop vouchers to WHSmith and buy books of stamps with them? You might have to add a bit of cash (or buy chocolate with the leftover vouchers).
I need to think of something new here...

    I feel somewhat foolish too!

For clarity: I PM'ed Moll to express an interest in swapping, and posted here to let her know. When I saw that my (and Moll's) post had been removed I became concerned that I'd somehow offended Moll, so contacted the forum team who kindly explained the reason. It was a definite forehead-slapping moment - any such swap would have required an exchange of postal address, which is understandably a big no-no. So obvious - now!

NBLondon's suggestion is excellent. I didn't know that WHSmith are one of the retailers who accept L2S vouchers. It's also worth remembering that you may be able to get change in cash when redeeming them, as long as it's 99p or under. This seems to be a bit of a grey area - the vouchers state 'No change given' on the back, but I have received change (of 99p or less) when using them in my local Wilko and Iceland (and the staff confirmed that this is their policy - but whether that policy applies to other retailers, or even to other Wilko and Iceland stores, is something I'm not sure about). What I'm trying to get at is that, if you do follow NBLondon's suggestion, it may also be worth asking the store staff if they will give change provided the difference is under a pound.

Since I'm posting the above, I may as well introduce myself. I'm currently on the Live Survey panel for about the fourth time, and am also doing the CD and UM surveys. I try to be a diligent participant, but encounter the same frustrations that many others in this thread experience. Perhaps the most frustrating thing is giving Kantar TNS accurate information to replace outdated information that they have, but finding that they haven't updated their system in line with this, despite their continual emphasis on the importance of accuracy.

No, strike that! The most frustrating aspect of the Live Survey, for me at least, is going to my local PDO and having to collect a cube which is taped-up so poorly that the clearly visible SMART (or RFID if you prefer) could fall out (and possibly has fallen out and been put back in), topped off with something like '12/04 PM 1st' written in nice big writing on the outside. All the while trying to act nonchalantly when it's obvious that the person behind the counter knows exactly what's going on!* And not feeling able to report the matter to Kantar TNS because it's my participation that has been potentially exposed, not that of the numpty who sent the item.

    * I remember a poster saying - somewhere back in this thread - that Royal Mail staff really couldn't give a fig about the survey or whether someone is taking part in it, but I'm not convinced that that's always the case. On quite a few occasions I've gone to my depot and had a bit of friendly banter while handing over my collection card - then the staff member reappears with my item and a definite souring of their hitherto amiable manner!

So, that's me - now a poster, no longer a lurker! It did initially occur to me that my response to Moll's post may have taken them by surprise a little, that they were expecting a reply from a (more) familiar forumite, and that this was the reason for the posts being deleted. I'm glad that the real reason was actually to do with privacy rules, as I'd hate to think that I'd caused offence somehow. Having said that, Moll, this is not to imply that I would've 'expected' you to agree to the swap; even if the rules did not forbid such an exchange, I would have understood your wariness given my being something of an unknown entity! In fact, I was going to send you another message acknowledging this, but of course, other events took things in a different direction...

That's me done for now, back to the survey fun 'n' games!

Sorry to pop back so soon, but I was interested in using my vouchers at WHSmith as per NBLondon's suggestion, and took a look at the L2S website. In their list of retailers' restrictions I found this:

"WHSmith - not accepted at WHSmith local stores or stores located in airports, hospitals, railway and motorway services. Cannot be used to purchase lottery tickets, stamps, gift cards or tobacco products."

It may be different for L2S gift cards (though I doubt it), but it certainly does seem to apply to the vouchers, which are what we get paid in. So probably worth checking first, although it doesn't look too hopeful.

As an aside, just what is a "WHSmith local store"? Is there such a thing as a WHSmith Local (with a capital 'L') which is distinct from other types of WHSmith (a bit like a high street Tesco Express as distinct from a Tesco Extra)?
