A couple of weeks ago I told them I no longer wanted to do the survey and they've just sent me a pack for another lot of posting. I've just written to them telling them I won't be sending them out - I wonder what they'll do now.

Ask you to return them at a guess.
    At least the smarts anyway.
As I did this last autumn... they may well send another couple of packs as they are already setup. The website will keep nagging you for another month or so. I just sent the packs back as Return to Sender and shoved any SMARTS into a return envelope.
I need to think of something new here...

When did you get the invite ?
Do you still have the UMS email advising that you need to log in to the Dashboard to join the survey? Would have been about a month ago.
If so you can at least 100% confirm the period it was for.
My "email invite" for UMS commencing 18th March was sent on 19th Feb

Still got the invite in my email.29th January

I had my invite on 11th February, only finished the last one yesterday. there are items showing that I should receive this week. I had the reminder on 18th February.
  • Just received the following message from them:

Hello, We don’t yet have all your data for some of the test items you have sent or received over the last two weeks. As soon as you have a moment, can you please check that everything is up-to-date? Please bear in mind, there might just be an item still on its way to you.

Erm, how am I supposed to enter details of an item that "might just" be on its way to me?

There was a letter I didn't get a chance to post last Friday so I assume they are actually talking about that.
  • That is the case with me at the moment olne to post today from last week so have had same message

They are acknowledging that you may well be up-to-date with reporting what you have received but they can also think that another poster has reporting sending something which should have arrived but you have not reported it. Because they are about to do their regular reporting to RM they want to have all data in.

There is still nothing I can do about an item that hasn't arrived yet so what is the point of them even mentioning it?

Have been doing this survey nearly 10 years and their communications have made less and less sense over that time.

Sorry but it makes sense to me. Its a simple nudge to ensure your data is up to date incase you missed something.
Given some of the posts I have seen on this thread from panelists,It doesnt seem a silly move on their behalf.

The first part of their message, to make sure everything is up to date, I don't have a problem with.

It's the 'there might just be an item still on its way to you.' tease which amused me. Is there or isn't there? Will I know which item it is when or if it does arrive? I can't deal with such vagueness! :rotfl:
