Hello
I am decluttering on ebay because they sent me a special offer but I haven't used ebay for years. I posted a thread earlier in the week here and people on here were very helpful.
One of my auctions has attracted a bidder I'm not happy with. The item is clothing and the current bid is £285 with 2 days left to run and a ton of watchers. The high bidder is from Italy, registered in 2015 with 17 feedback. It's when you click on "feedback left for others" that things get hairy. In total she's left 28 pieces of feedback - 4 negs, 4 neutral, 20 positive. I clicked on all the negs and in every case she was the only one leaving negs for that seller i.e. she ruined their feedback.
Either this lady has been extremely unlucky with her purchases or she's the problem. Her negs say things like "well worn" "material not as described".
I'm not sending my becautiful NWT item to Italy so she can potentially bug me with emails trying to get a refund. Can't decide whether to pull the auction or just cancel her bid and add her to my blocked bidders. Not sure I want to deal with the inevitable "why did you block me" email.
Wondering if she's just a nightmare or if she's actually playing a game with sellers to get money off. Any thoughts?

Unless you are really happy to send abroad then turn off Global shipping , cancel the bid and blockEx forum ambassador

I don't mind sending abroad but don't like this Italian lady as I think the amount of negs she leaves is unreasonable.0

Remove her bid and block her then. Although she may make a new user ID and bid again, you'll be none the wiser.
Personally I would remove her and block Italy.0 -
I am sure a few people on here have blocked buyers from Italy. Due problems with buyers in the pastWork to live= not live to work0

Italian post is terrible. Your item is very likely to go walkies, or take that long the buyer will want a refund anyway.
Dont forget you will end up paying the costs to get the item returned if they claim its not as described.
If the thought of an email asking why you blocked them seems so terrible, s ebay really for you? There are far worse things on ebay.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

And if she were to email you asking why you blocked her, tell her!0 -

I have Italy blocked entirely for my direct sales, I do allow it though for GSP as eBay take the risks.
However, any buyer with poor feedback left for others would have their bids removed and get blocked by me if I noticed before auction ended, I don't need that sort of buyer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My policy is always to block any 'unlucky' buyers - ie the serial neggers, I tend to check the first 3 or 4 pages off feedback, on most buyers you won't see any negs, the serial neggers will stand out a mile. Negs can often by left in a cluster, so I wonder if they leave a bunch when they have a bad day at the office.
Just cancel their bid, and block them. Out of the 28 transactions where feedback has been left, 8 have resulted in poor feedback, so that strongly indicates a problem buyer.0 -
I do wonder if some buyers realise we can see the feedback left for others. I tend to do virtually all BIN with immediate payment on my business account so don't have a chance to block most buyers but I do offer quite a few with Best offer and before I take any offer or even counter offer I check the feedback left for others. Based on that feedback I often decline buyers outright and block them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
