Nobody is suggesting you must leave your house, but if you cannot sell it at your chosen price, then the option of renting it out for a while is a possible strategy, bearing in mind that the neighbour won't be there for ever.

Of course, they may be relocated relatively swiftly, if environmental health recommend that following their investigation. However, the procedures have to be long winded, because the council won't want to give this tenant the chance to claim that due process wasn't followed.

Crashy's little lectures aren't in any way personal. He makes the sort of interjection you see above whether it's an £80k house or one costing £800k. Compared with some of the House Price Crash brigade he's quite polite and he believes he's doing good. :A
