Insurance for Hot Tub (as a tenant with full liability)

Hi all,
Really need some help here as I've phoned around about 10 insurance companies and the answer is always vague, and I really just want peace of mind with this.
I've just moved into a property as a tenant. The property has a hot tub, and the landlord has stipulated on our contract in an addendum that we are fully liable for all costs associated with the hot tub.
I'm very concerned that if we break it, cause accidental damage, or if a pipe bursts and we need to call an engineer out, this could get very expensive.
I've contacted:
eSure - Flat out refused to cover anything to do with it (quite rude)
Tesco - They said it would be covered under "Tenants Liability", but the policy document wording seems to only cover very specific scenarios
M&S - Same as above, said on phone happy to cover anything that goes wrong with it, but policy document is very specific
Aviva - Flat out refused to cover
John Lewis - Will not cover at all
I want to avoid the scenario where something terrible happens e.g. a pipe bursts on the tub, I phone the insurance provider up, and they find any possible reason why they can't cover me. So I was mainly looking for a policy with good customer service. But I'm really stuck. Is it worth taking out a "tenants liability insurance" completely separate from home cover? (E.g. with "HomeLet" - which covers accidental damage tenants are liable for) or am I being misled on the phone?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I just want peace of mind - exactly what insurance should provide, but I'm finding this all incredibly confusing and stressful. I just want a pretty comprehensive cover for this thing.
Thanks!

I'm not sure you will get insurance for 'all costs associated with the hot tub'.
Tenants Liability covers your legal liability for damage to the buildings and landlords fixtures and fittings0 -
Find a policy with tenants liability. This is what it will fall under.
I know the Direct Line / Churchill policies would cover the hot tub for accidental damage under tenants liability but only if you have the accidental damage optional cover as well. I work for this company and I'm not advertising, just letting OP know that this is 2 companies that do cover that kind of thing.
No policy would cover the hot tub if it there was a maintenance issue, or due to wear and tear etc.0 -
Thank you both for the replies. Very helpful and at least points me in the right direction.
Accidental damage would be a great start - I'm usually very careful with things but peace of mind against knocking the control panel off or something like that would be great. I understand no insurance would cover "Wear and Tear", but it's been tricky working out which providers would extend the accidental damage cover to the tenant's liability. Some providers claimed that the hot tub wouldn't fall under tenant's liability even though the landlord owns it and we're legally liable (e.g. eSure) and they won't cover it at all!
I'll try out Churchill. Otherwise, it may be worth me getting a separate tenants liability insurance (e.g. with HomeLet for £98) and then a basic home insurance cover on top of that.0
