    I'd agree with the poster who suggested the waiters friend. It's called that for a reason, it's all anyone I've ever worked with who opens wine as part of their job uses.

    I've broken more openers than I care to remember until I found this one. It's generally known as The Waiter's Friend. It's the best one I've ever had and it was 49p in Asda! (I keep 1 spare!)

    I couldn't find one exactly like this in ASDA (it looks like it has a black plastic handle), but they do have a VERY well-made all stainless steel one for £2.
    The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

    Actually it's solid metal with a black finish. I was searching t'internet and all over when I came across them hanging on a card-type rack near some other utensils towards the aisle end. It really was only 49p and I was dubious until I'd tried it out. I haven't looked recently but next time I'm in there I'll try to find the code number and post it on here.
