Ideas for a fun mum/daughter day please.

She's 11. Her older brother is on youth camp & I like to have some quality one on one time, just her and I, doing something her brother wouldn't enjoy.

Last year we went to London, on the mittal orbit slide, british museum & mamma mia in the west end. Wondering what to do for our special day this year? We're in the south east. She's not really into shopping. We went to Thorpe park last week, so theme parks are out.

Any ideas please?

Could you do something craft related? Im in the Midlands but there are all sorts of places springing up these days from pottery painting to fused glass making that are suitable for all ages.

I've also seen experience days like llama walks or bird of prey handling that look like fun and a bit different.

I also live near an indoor snow park so we have skiing, tubing etc available. They also have ice skating, a pool and a spa on site so you can do different activities in one day. Do you have anything like that near you?

Afternoon tea? Maybe a themed or chocolate one. London Eye. Karaoke kid-friendly venue if you're both us for it! Day at Windsor? Rain Forest Cafe/Hard Rock Cafe. Harrods.

Why not just ask her what she'd like to do? :)

I agree ask for her ideas a year older she may be keen on something. But you asked for ideas so ,indoor parachuting, trampoline park, afternoon tea, spa or pamper afternoon, recording session, build a bear together, camping for the day, museum hopping, barge day trip, decorate a pottery piece, mocktails, train ' up North '. Stately home and picnic, an experience together, a driving lesson .

That was my first port of call;)

However, she doesn't know what she wants to do. The lists of date ideas I found online were for younger girls. I figured if all your ideas could pool a list relevant for her age, then she's got a decent choice.

    Thanks for ideas so far.

Depending on how adventurous you both are, how about a zip line?

My daughter loves animals so at age 11 she would have loved a safari park or zoo.

No end of things to do in London, if you're within travelling distance, but it's an expensive day out.

Galleries, museums, Madame Tussauds, London Zoo.. There's the BBC Proms if either of you are into classical music?
