It's really not a good way to treat people is it - like most folk are in a position to "just leave". Do your job. Do only your job. Arrive and leave on time and don;t even consider working through lunchbreaks... There's no need to publicise it as a formal "work to rule" but if any extra time is called for it is perfectly possible to always have somewhere else to be or something you've already booked to do...

I know i should only do what I'm contracted to do but I find that really hard. Lots of extra hours aren't always easy any way as I compress a working week in 4 days so they're pretty long days to start with.0

so today.... time to get back into the swing of things.
one of our biggest issues with spending is on food shopping so this is the first thing we're tackling. We have very well stocked freezers so won't be needing meat for sometime yet. The cunning plan is to use up cupboards and the freezer and to do online shopping, though this may not always be the cheapest way, given our propensity to go shopping with a list and then spending double what we intended to do it's safer not to go near the shops, for a while anyway. Therefore online order has been placed, OH has been given access so he can change/update it and take some responsibility for it, this weeks shopping should cost £45
Not a NSD - signed up to the office moral boosting efforts £6, highly unlikely to win anything but worth a shot.
bought chocolate from the office tuck shop 50p - must stop doing this as it won't help me financially or diet wise - I blame the auditors
given money to a colleague as he's planning on going to aldi and will pick me up some nappies for DS.
would say that i'll aim for a NSD tomorrow but will be going quilting in the evening so will just aim to not spend anything more than my evening fees.
all of the above has been paid from my monthly 'pocket money' of £80, will do a count up later of how much is left for the rest of the month.
accounts have been updated, this months credit card spends stands at £193.30
sorry in advance as this will get really really mundane, I live a very boring life0 -

hi Cumbria Lass, I had to reapply for my job about 2 years ago so know that stress, and we're about to be hit but another ridiculous savings target which means more cuts in posts. seems like we're living the same lives
unfortunately i'm not on the road to retirement, i'm going to be working a long time yet, my fault for being a geriatric mum to some littlies I guess 0 -
