It certainly is, especially when 2nd applicant is paid weekly, now want 6 months wage slips, which is 26 wage slips, scanned and emailed, a pain in the bum .

Weekly pay is definitely unusual in this day and age. You have my sympathies trying to find that. I contacted them a few minutes ago.

They wanted to check 3 debits from my account. Strangely 2 very small transactions. 5 and 10 pound ones. Also the 8 grand transferred into a savings account for my deposit.

UPDATE as promised

Broker didn't contact me Friday, so yes you guessed it, I called Natwest, and I got the answer we have been waiting for.
Mortgage was accepted Friday afternoon, she told me everything the broker should be telling me, so I need to act surprised when they call me. Offer should be in post to us Monday/Tuesday,, We cannot still believe it. After all the ups and downs and no correspondence from the broker. we are finally going to be home owners after 20 years of renting.
When we plan to remortgage after out 2 yr fixed we def will not go through a broker as its been such hard work and have had more response direct from Natwest.
And my credit rating has gone from Fair to excellent in 3 weeks, since the start of the process, so I am super pleased.
Our time line has been :

Property found 15/07
Reserved NB 15/07
Broker given go ahead 19/07
Forms sent to Broker & Solicitor 20/07
HTB ATP 27/07
Valuation money taken out 27/07
Broker asked for my info 31/07
Valuation booked 03/08
Natwest reviewing last document 03/08
Natwest received valuation report 04/08
Mortgage agreed 04/08
Offer in post 08/08

Can I just ask did your Natwest online tracker have it updated as mortgage offered it was it only through phoning them that you found out ?

I'm waiting very very patiently for their decision.
