Hi all,
Just wanting to get some advice from people who have had similar experiences, mostly as i'm on the nervous wait and my broker is on holiday. Good timing
So my partner and I have applied for an AIP through our broker from Natwest as we had trouble obtaining one through other lenders, bar Halifax.
We earn £58k joint. AIP was accepted with a manual address check due to moving house loads when renting. End of tenancy etc.
We both have credit balances outstanding. Mine is quite a high credit usage (80%) (£6000) but perfect payment history history. Hers is a lower use but includes £1500 overdraft and a grand or so on credit card. Natwest indicated they are willin to lend £220k with 10% deposite
We actually only want 86k with 10% deposit. Total price 96,000
Just put in the full application but as i say broker on holiday. Hard coeck was done for AIP and a soft check was done after and £198 was taken from my account for valuation fee almost immediately. Aside from that my broker is uncontactable so in limbo.
Any thoughts as to whether i'm likey to have too much trouble?

It would seem not. To be truthful my broker is a nice woman but just talks about a lot of irrelevant things and skips over questions. Or only speaks over positive instead of being realistic then works down.
Im sure some people like rose tinted specs but i live a bit more in reality.
If she gets me a mortgage i couldnt care less how blue sky she thinks though0 -
i would call Natwest and get you application ref number, and track it,,, thats what i have done,, as my broker was slow in replying to emails , i called Natwest, they were really helpful gave me the ref number, i can now track it and not have to chase my broker0

Thanks Nikki,
Did that and logged in. Theyve reviewed my docs early this morning and that was the last update.
Could it be bad news the documents are reviewed and a valuation isnt booked yet?
Nerve wracking experience0 -
i wouldn't think so,it all depends on if any valuers are in the area and how busy, my money was taken 27/07 and valuation was only booked today for thursday,, my documents are still being reviewed.. keep asking for more documents, so annoying
you can always ask natwest they were very helpful yesterday to me.0 -
Its a nightmare process isn't it0
