yeah, but they're nothing like nice crispy fresh ones & & the texture's really important, imhoyou can buy frozen ones.. that's a bit of a giveaway!!

I agree with Swan, they will be limp and soggy once defrosted. There are more opinions on this thread that may help:

me too, the (adult? hmmph!) kids are picky about dates, guess it's a generational thing ... so I eat what they pay for, leave 'for too long' then won't touch, yum :T 0 -

Bean sprouts were (I believe) the cause of an outbreak of many fatal cases of E Coli poisoning last year. As such it is no longer recommended to eat them raw (even if you sprout them yourselves, I think the source was T&M in UK, but might be mis-remembering!)0
