Would not think you could freeze beensprouts - too much water content! That said, if you have some left over you lose nothing by trying!
Have you got a Lidl nearby - they seem to have some in jars at the moment (got some this morning), haven't tried them yet though. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Nearest supermarkets are over six miles away in Bangor. The local shops are'nt much cop, even the greengrocers dont sell them.0

I'm sure there was some in a frozen bag of stir fry I picked up in Tesco. I'd freeze them.0

I have a cookbook for one person that gives recipes for different stir fries so that you can use up a whole bag. So you could have say sweet and sour one day stir fried rice the next and a peanut buttery one if you still had any left after that. Or my son eats them with hummus as a snack. K.0

Or how about sprouting your own at home, then you can just use what you need? I've never tried it myself but I believe it's relatively straightforward and I'm sure someone on here will be able to find a link to some instructions for you.0

Hi there
I have a pack of stir fry veg mix that I'm ont going to manage to use in time, can I freeze it or is it a no go as it's got bean sprouts inside??
Thanks0 -
you can freeze them, & they'll be ok to eat, but the beansprouts will come out floppy & with no crunchy texture
EDIT ... I'd give them a good wash & use them a couple of days past their 'date' rather than freeze them, as long as they're not looking slimy or are smelly0 -
