    Well, firstly, I think the question should not exist.
    The honest and correct thing to do is to of course contact them again - as often as it takes to get the situation rectified.
    Secondly, if you think you will get away with underpaying them forever, you are probably kidding yourself.

    So, unless you want a huge bill at some later date, when they find out without your input, I suggest you do the honest and correct thing as soon (or as often) as possible and try to negotiate a reasonable method of repaying them - while you have the moral high ground.
