Dropping Kerb!!

We are planning to drop the kerb, for which we require planning permission. The council has asked for a scaled drawing of the existing layout which was rather easy to get.:think: But I am stuck with getting hold of " a scaled drawing showing the proposed layout of the front garden together with a cross section of the front garden if any excavation works are intended to level the land"!!!!
I am not sure as to where would this info be available....

Note the words 'if any excavation works are intended to level the land'. Do you intend to do this? If not, then maybe the drawing isn't needed.

What is the problem? If you have a scaled drawing of how it is now, that's great. The proposed layout will be based on the same overall shape with different detail.

Even if you got an architect or similar to do it, you'd still have to show them where everything would be. It's all inside your head!

Can you not use points on the house/front wall/ fence as a reference and work from those? My wife is totally number dyslexic, but she can still triangulate to find a point and use a scale rule/compasses, or if really feeling challenged, squared paper. Why not? OK you wouldn't send the design in on squared paper, but you could trace or copy it off. You will probably need a long tape measure, and a pair of compasses but that's about all for the plan.

As for the cross section, that depends on whether you are going to alter the contours substantially or just put down a base and plonk whatever it is on top, so you might get away with not needing to do any serious work with levels at all.

This is MSE, so I would try to do my own drawings rather than employ someone. I did it when I applied for PP in 2010 and again when I sold some land in 2012 and no one batted an eyelid.
