Redundancy Question

Hi,
My wife is currently on maternity leave which ends on the end of August, she is employed as a letting agent
She has just found out the branch she worked in is closing next week.
She worked with them for 7 years full time and then the last 2 part time - minimum of 8 hours per week but normally more, she has been on statutory maternity pay ( the higher rate ) for the last year
The nearest other branch is over an hours drive away so is not practical for her now with our 2 children. She has offered to work from home but not sure if practical
If they offer her redundancy I am assuming it will be based upon the 8 hours or will it be at the rate of the maternity pay? Or is the extra hours she did taken into consideration

An hour's drive is not considered an unreasonable commute and her personal circumstances are not the employer's concern. So she could be offered a position at the other office and if so there would be no redundancy. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
