but need to buy the base units

I see that B&Q do them, as do Wickes, Howdens etc, but does the quality of the units matter? They aren't seen or anything (we have also ordered the plinth, and the panels that match my kitchen atm).

We are just looking to add a breakfast bar and two cupboards :)

The answer is any unit that you can fit your doors to. Take a door into the suppliers.

B&Q, Wickes and Howdens doors are all different heights and will have the hinge holes in different places.

As SuzieSue said, one of the online shops like diy kitchens would be a good choice.

Or take a photo of the inside of the door where you have measured and marked the height and width of the door plus the position of the hinge holes and the distance between them.

Got to be easier carrying your phone, or the printed photo, and a tape measure than lugging around a kitchen door?

    Or just email the suppliers.
