I am wanting to travel within the next 1 or 2 weeks. Travelling from Manchester would be good but I am willing to go from elsewhere if cheaper. However, I am having problems finding a cheap flight!

Thanks for your help in advance!

school holidays mean this is a busy time and flight prices are higher, could you postpone the trip till September when prices will drop to probably around half the price of August (possibly lower)

Look at Monarch 16th Aug MAN-TFS.
    Ryanair Glasgow PIK-TFS 16th Aug £25.
    Thomson 27th Aug TFS-GLA or
    Thomas cook 29th Aug TFS-GLA.

Scottish airports are cheaper because the children have gone back to school.

I am wanting to travel within the next 1 or 2 weeks to TFS to stay for about 7 to 10 days. Travelling from Manchester would be good but I am willing to go from elsewhere if cheaper. However, I am having problems finding a cheap flight! I am concluded I may not be able to make the trip. I cannot afford more then £200 really and when I get there I shall be staying with my Mum.

You've left it a bit late, it's the school holidays and one of the most expensive months to fly to places like Tenerife.

A quick skyscanner search shows a departure from Manchester on 7th returning 17th for £237 flying with 2 different airlines.

Thanks, but I am fairly confidant in saying that it will be possible to find those rock bottom prices again.

    Eating your words now?

Now it's going to cost you £300 from Manchester with Thomson
From Manchester (MAN) to Tenerife South (TFS), return to Manchester (MAN)

    Mon 14 Aug 2017

and there are only two seats left

Currently the closest within budget is from Newcastle on the 11th for £189

Otherwise as aforementioned, Glasgow and Edinburgh

From Glasgow (GLA) to Tenerife South (TFS), return to Glasgow (GLA)
    Sun 06 Aug 2017
    16:55 21:30
    Sun 20 Aug 2017
    22:30 03:00
    (Arrives +1 day)
    £115
    Again with Thomson

National Express coach from Manchester to Glasgow around £20 return

£10 for an open return from the bus station to the airport. https://www.firstgroup.com/greater-glasgow/routes-and-maps/glasgow-airport-express

A fair bit of travelling, but at least within budget and you'll have a couple of weeks of sun, sea and sand.

Thanks everyone for all your advise. I am online now looking these up. It sounds like I am defiantly worth making the trip more further afield to make the savings. :)

    Websites are as above;

Glasgow also has from the 4th to the 15th for £165. But why pay more for a shorter holiday, unless you really can't take two weeks.
