Parking fine from Tesco (Highview Parking)

Options
Hi there,

I have received through the post today a parking fine issued by Highview Parking on behalf of Tesco. The letter shows the car staying at the car park for a duration of just over 1 hour on the 21/06/2017 without validation on the parking machine with a customer voucher.

I have a few issues with this - firstly being that they are claiming to have sent an initial parking charge notice on 03/07/2017 with the option to pay the reduced charge. I never received this. Instead I have received their apparent 2nd notice today demanding a payment of £70.

Secondly, I always park and shop at this Tesco and I have never validated the car on the parking machine with a customer voucher. I forgot to do it so many times in the past, and I never received any penalties so I assumed I was fine. I am worried now that I will receive many more fines through the post. Do I contact Highview Parking and ask them if there are anymore coming my way?

Overall I don't know what to do. I have not responded to HIghview Parking yet. I feel I have been treated unfairly as I am a loyal customer to Tesco and never thought my one hour of parking would result in a £70 fine.

Would appreciate any advice please!!

None of that matters, search the forum for 'Highview skedaddle' and you will have this cancelled by Tuesday!

You will have already seen when you read the NEWBIES FAQs first, before posting, to appeal as keeper.

read the NEWBIES sticky thread, and in tandem to appealing , COMPLAIN loudly to TESCO about this draconain parking for a loyal customer who spends money in their store regularly, show proof of patronage (but do so as KEEPER , as an occupant of the vehiacle , as a paying customer, do not reveal who was driving)

in other words, we agree, but as a pcn is a legal contract its not as simple as you may think, not in practice (but we do agree that they dont need these draconian measures , despite what they say)

Thanks for your responses, however I am still confused as to what to do with regards to this being the first letter I've received, yet they're claiming it's their second? Do I phone them up and ask, or do I include it in the appeal if I end up having to appeal it?

    Did you read #2?

You don't ever phone a PPC.

Just follow the advice in #2.

Send online, now, the appeal you find when you read any other Highview thread.

I gave you the easiest search possible to find it.
