I've tried searching on Google etc but nothing seems to answer my question in this respect, but does this particular department only help cancer sufferers or people who have had a stroke or heart attack or a major operation or recovering from a severe injury?0

) but it seems clear from the joint branding with Macmillan that it's very specifically a cancer-related initiative, as explained at https://www.lloydsbank.com/help-guidance/customer-support/customers-affected-by-cancer/default.asp

It appears that only those with, or close to someone who has, cancer can use the help service.
I guess it offers general financial advice. Specific help from Halifax includes:We may be able to help with mortgage payment holidays and current account fees and charges for example, but your individual circumstances will need to be taken into account as this isn't always possible.
Halifax offers help to others with long-term health conditions, see https://www.halifax.co.uk/banking-with-halifax/extra-support/long-term-health-condition/. It seems to be restricted to help accessing their services.
They specifically mention IBS. I'm struggling to think of a way a bank could help someone who has IBS.0 -
If people only had PPI or overdraft insurance cover -- ohh god what Have I said now!
Going to hide behind the sofa now before the brickbats come my way to say what a rubbish product it was. LOL0 -

Is it specifically Lloyds / Halifax that you want to get in touch with?
I think that they have a department that covers all kinds of illnesses and situations.
