My partner an I are looking to book a holiday for March 2018 to Australia. Around 8months away. So. If *IF my girlfriend falls pregnant between now and then, do we get refunded the money with our holiday insurance? When booking with the airlines the - 'Easy Flexi Saver Economy' Ticket is £650per person which is no refund/cancellation policy. The 'Economy' Ticket which is £1066per person is refundable with fee's. Do i get the cheaper flights and just take out holiday insurance? Or pay the extra for the refundable ticket? Please help. +will the travel insurance cover us?

you can go on holiday while pregnant you know?0

I doubt it - you'd have to check the policy. Insurance doesn't usually pay for risks you can envisage.
Why do you have to book it now? Just wait a few months and book it around November and if she does get pregnant, so what, should be fine to travel at around 4 months as long as you don't stop anywhere than needs vaccines.
I don't think you generally need vaccines for Australia but check this and also if you stop off anywhere en route.0 -
You would have to check wether an insurance policy covers pregnancy and even then there would be excess to pay0

March is a great month to visit Australia.
It seems if you couldn't go because of pregnancy, there would be a cost.
The minimum cost could be the excess on the insurance claim.
Perhaps just delay trying for a baby until you're back from Australia.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Some airlines are fussy at around 8 months also depending what you want to do it can be a struggle. But earlier is fine, assuming no vaccines etc required. Or complications.glentoran99 wrote: »you can go on holiday while pregnant you know?0 -
Thanks all for the speedy replies, i think i will hold of booking the holiday until November, just like zagfles said. Hopefully the flights don't go up too much.0

I seem to remember quite a few discussions on here saying pregnancy isn't covered as a valid reason to cancel many holidays and get a refund, so be very careful. Sounds like you are wise to wait until nearer the time to decide on wether to book or not.0
