Rome Omnia Card

So off to Rome next weekend for just 3 days. First ever visit so want to take in main sights. Friend at work suggests we get a tourist card called Omnia. Its about £100 per person but gives free bus and train, free access to 2 sites and access to quick entry queues. Any thoughts or experience please, is it worth it?

No direct experience but these are common systems.
In general you don't save much or any money by getting the cards but they are more convenient and might save some time and hassle.
If I were you I'd just collate my itinerary and then compare with the card, if it's cheaper or better in other ways then would consider it.
One drawback is that the populat venues will often do times tickets that are pre book able, it's likely that a card such as this will mean queuing like others.0 -
I imagine Rome will be very hot and busy( as it always is) what are the sites?
Rome is very walkable but I suppose it depends how central you are.
If your main criteria is to speed visit the Vatican the coliseum , maybe, but how much can you do in the heat in three days?I've been to Rome several times and never needed this.0 -

Get your tickets in advance for the Vatican and the coliseum from the above official sites. They are jump the queue tickets.
As someone has said, Rome is walkable.
The Vatican tends not to be open on a Sunday.0 -
According to their web site you can go to the front on the queue
Simply show your card to go straight to the front of the queue at these popular attractions:- St Peter's Basilica
- Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel
- The Coliseum
- Roman Forum
- Other Roma Pass historical sites…
If this covers places you are interested in it can be better than pre-booking tickets which tie you to specific times and offer no flexibility.0
