Best solution to tidy loads of wires under tv / stereo..

Howdy !
My mind is tied up in knots, just like the wires everywhere coming from under the TV and all over the floor.
I hope that someone can suggest the best option to tidy up this mess
I have posted similar topics about this situation , spent too much time procrastinating and now I'm stuck .
My system : TV flush on wall / hifi seperates including turntable underneath/ pair of bookshelf speakers on stands .
Humax recorder / Apple TV box/ Mac mini / now tv box ( unopened as I've had lots going on since move to this new flat ). Glass oval t v stand .
I don't know whether to buy a cabinet of sorts to go under the tv ..will it hide all the wires ? I did think about moving stereo out and just leaving the small boxes there. Trouble is , they are on the floor at present .it would also mean that I would have to buy extra speaker wire.
I don't want to get a soundbar tbh as the stereo seperation is not quite there yet apparently. If I did , it would mean I might as well ditch all my seperates . I could do ..
I've tried cable ties , but not really good tbh
One thing to mention also, is the alcove the gear is in is in the perfect spot in the living room .
Please help
Thanks

Cable ties will be the cheapest option, take your time and it should be ok. Give it another go. There used to be a plastic coil similar to that than binds paper/or like a telephone cord that you wrapped round the wires.0

Thanks HKP;)
One thing I will say is, I bought that oval tv stand as a stopgap in my last flat, and it has to go. I will be getting something else, whether it be a cabinet or another t v stand . Unfortunately , a hi fi rack won't fit in the space unless I move a speaker out of that zone .
The seperates look ok on their own , but the other boxes completely spoil the look and clutter everything even more .0 -
For cables going to the TV, something like this? Then possibly smaller trunking for other cables lower down and/or hide them behind a unit.
I did that before we had an extension built, put the Hi-Fi and TV in there and had the cables sent through trunking buried in the plaster, with a power socket in the wall behind the TV. Even the speaker cables run behind the skirting board and behind the plaster.
Looks cool to me to have the TV on the wall and absolutely no visible cables going to it, but only one visitor has ever asked where the cables are!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Replacing overly long cables might help.0 -
Thanks victor and Norman
The speaker cables actually look quite good and inoffensive believe it or not . The wires come down from the left hand side of the tv
It's when they're all on the floor by the power. I have a surge protected extension lead with 8 sockets . As I say, I've taken the small boxes and put them on the floor for now .
Maybe I need a media unit that holds a lot of boxes ?0 -
Thought I'd give an update .
I've cracked it . I've cracked it in a slightly non conformist way
I have a soundbase that was still sitting in the box in my spare room
I moved in this flat a few weeks ago..long story.
So, I thought I'd bring it out into the living room . It sounds brilliant .
My seperatesCambridge audio amp/ b&w speakers / qed b i wire)
My soundbase is a Cambridge audio also. (Richer sounds are great)
An optical illusion seems to be happening . I only placed the soundbase ontop of the CD player just to see what it sounds like.
When I listen to the music, I keep, loooking at the speakers.
Tomorrow , the speakers / amp/ speaker stands go into the very small spare room . I will also tackle that room during the week ( long story;))
The turntable will stay, as will the CD player.
So, it means I have space for those set top boxes etc after all, and the mess will be tidied up .
