If customer services won't sort it, email the CEO - Christian Haertnagel - and give him a broadside. Do a forum search on his name and you'll get the email addy. Get the spelling of his name right!
I've done that, gave it to him with two barrels after the CS person told me it was my own fault. Will update if I get a reply.
There's a part of me that would like to let it go to court just to see Athena stand up with their photos of my car in the car park for 30 seonds, see how fair a judge find that!Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Play the game with these scammers, you are right, what would a judge say about a 30 sec overstay ...... doubt it will get that far
If it did, Lidl must join you in court.
See what the CEO or one of his staff says ...... hint >>> not a good story in your local newspaper for Lidl0 -

Cancelled this morning via the email suggested, thanks all for your comments and hopefully this thread will be helpful to others.
The email had the usual spiel about passing my comments on blah, blah. But it won't change, someone is making too much money, I shall be very wary of ever using Lidl again.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Write some bad stuff on their Facebook page, they hate that. Read this.

It wasn't worded like that though, I was told that she would put an appeal through, that would halt the payment process and if it wasn't successful I would still 'only' have to pay the £45, basically reading from the back of the notice, and we all know an appeal would have failed. If she'd have said 'if I process the appeal for you it will cancel the ticket' I would have been more than happy, but that is not what she said.
It's the fact that I did nothing wrong, that there should be nothing to appeal against that I object to, because frankly it's just taking the pee penalising someone for looking for a space.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
This "no return within 2 hours" nonsense is stupid. What if the car is used by more than one person. Person A uses the car park and then unbeknown to them person B parks in the same car park within that time limit. Who's broken their stupid rules - Person A or person B?What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Everything you say is correct and that is why you persist with the
CEO until it is cancelled0 -
Once this has been killed off, why not send Lidl an invoice for your time. Customers should not have to put up with these time wasters. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
