Evening everyone,
Took in pasta for lunch on Tue and a cheese sandwich today. 2 days down, 11 to go!VSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -
Too busy at work to stop to eat properly so just had a protein bar and cookies - yes a weird combo but energy giving. Had the chicken for dinner instead. I think the cookies cost about 25p as they were part of a discounted pack and bar was purchased at the beginning of the year (for just this kind of thing) so part of stash.
Chicken & bacon & pasta with Caesar dressing today and that is the end of the chicken.
Lunch from home three days in a row - fab
Have a great Thursday

Love this idea for a challenge. I usually spend £3.65 if buying lunch so will consider anything less as a saving. I also can spend up to £4.50 on breakfast so want to avoid that too.
Today's lunch was some leftover salad - leaves and peppers - with homemade dressing (but I need practice because it was way too vinegary) and a can of soup I'd bought in advance as a transition to bringing my own. In any case it was all around half the cost of my usual. Had cereal for breakfast so saved there too though I did buy a cup of tea.0 -

Lol, you've just reminded me of the year the supermarket reduced the Quality Street purple bars to 7p and I bought all of them to go with lunches, I don't think I could eat another one now if you paid me!
My lunch today was leftover pizza so I'm not too sure how to cost it as it was expensive when I originally bought it (two nights ago :rotfl: ) but didn't actually cost me anything today so I'm going to go half way and say £1.50Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Hello, new people, lots of inspiration from you all
Better Times, you are really flying the flag for home made lunches with your home made yoghurt and lemon curd, I feel smug if I've managed to put a bit of ham between some bread :rotfl:Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

Good morning all and a big warm welcome to Friday.
Good news - I've finished the chicken. Woohoo!
Am working from a different office today and have arranged to do a long awaited catch up with a good friend at lunch rather than dinner. Still in the saving mode. So am taking a pre-made meal out of the freezer for dinner instead of lunch. Hope that kind of makes sense.
FatVonD I love the idea of bulk purchasing chocolate bars to add to the packed lunch each day, but even if you mix and max so the purple bar doesn't fall out of favour, I have a sneaky suspicion that the bars wouldn't make it to the lunch box. I have absolutely no self control.
Loving all the different lunches that are appearing.
Take care and have a great weekend everyone
