Do you change the toilet seat?

So we've had the big discussion about changing the locks when you move in to a new house, but the real question is: do you change the toilet seat?
When I rented I moved in to a few flats with disgustingly stained loo seats and so started changing them as a matter of course, when I bought my own house I bought a new toilet seat with me to fit as soon as I got the keys.

In some houses I have bought I've had to change the whole bloody toilet!0

No. I've never done it.0

Sounds a bit weird, unless there's something actually wrong with the seat.0

I have even been known to change the bathroom....
Thats one room that whilst a nice new bathroom sells houses for some...I'd rather have that one being rough round the edges as it gives me the opportunity to change it.
a good bit of deep cleaning though should mean that things become more in tune with the new owner going forwardfrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -
oh yes, have done, its one of my pet hates!!0

We changed the toilet seat in ours, simply because it was so disgusting/stained.
I wouldn't have usually done it, and hopefully wont have to do it when we move again.
I removed the old one in haste, and realized the new one i bought didn't fit (whoops).
We then had no toilet seat until the following day, and tbh having no toilet seat was better than the one that was on there.0 -
Yes, I always change itGather ye rosebuds while ye may0

Best to change it because you never know, it might not have been changed for weeks!0

Yes but to be fair it was part of a wider colour scheme change for the bathroom. The green walls, black tiling, fake wood laminate flooring and 70s lemon yellow bathroom suite just simply didn't work for me... :rotfl::rotfl:
So for a cheap renovation project we just painted the walls and tiles with varying shades of magnolia and greys. Changed the toilet seat to a grey one as well.
But unless it was obviously dirty or disgusting I probably wouldn't have thought about it otherwise0
