What class of title

I've been in adverse possession of a small plot of land for 33 years. I've decided to apply for a title deed through the Land Registry but I'm not sure what class of title to apply for. I've never been able to trace the owner of the land and no-one has ever come forward to say, 'That's mine.' I fenced the land in 33 years ago and have been using it ever since. I'm just wondering if anyone else has done this and if so did they get an absolute title?

Assuming the land is currently unregistered it is unlikely that you will be granted absolute title. You'd be better off going for possessionary which can then be upgraded to absolute once it has been registered for 12 years.0

Thank you. That's what I was thinking. The land is unregistered. It most likely belonged to someone who owned some land next door but sold it in the late seventies. I haven't been able to trace any title deed for it. It's only a small bit of land and not big enough for development which is probably why no-one else is interested in it.Don't mess with pensioners. :cool:0
