sportsarb - that's what I was remembering. However it is from Decision Maker's Guide which is not used for Universal Credit decisions.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

Thanks @calcotti and @sportsarb for you help. It is a family member (not a spouse). It is a small amount but we want to send it to them regularly to help them budget. I read the entitled.to web page but couldn't find anything that states it officially. Thanks for the Chapter H5: Unearned income list. That's really helpful.0

Voluntary payments are disregards as per link.
However, you may wish to send them money in another form instead of passing it through their bank.
Perhaps a food voucher or something similar?
The only reason I am saying this is because regular sums into their bank account may set up an alert and suggest that they are working.
Of course it would all be sorted out eventually but to save any stress/problem if you can find another way it may be better.0 -
I recieved my council tax bill today and because I am now on universal credit they have stopped my council tax reduction. Even though the amount I get is exactly the same, don't know what to do about it, universal credit say nothing to do with them and council tax say nothing they can do. Is anybody else having the same problem, i am going out of my mind with worry.0

If you've been moved from JSA to UC then you should be entitled to the same reduction you had before. Council Tax Relief is outside the UC system so you may need to speak to the council direct. That said, it's strange the DWP have managed to tell the council you have come off JSA but not told them you have started on UC.0

Not necessarily the case as CTR is usually calculated differently for claimants in receipt of UC. You would expect full CTR to apply if the OP has no income other than UC. However given that the OP has received very little UC in this period due to the earnings it is possible that they do not qualify for CTR this month.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. The OP did state his income was exactly the same so I assumed he had just been migrated from JSA to UC whilst still unemployed.0 -

Quite right. This is one of those instances where someone has posted on a previous thread and I’ve Mixed up two sets of circumstances. Much clearer if people start their own thread!Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
I have been on UC since January and this was because i lost my job end of december due to nd of contract. I was claiming WTC and CTC and also getting the Disability premimum. Since moving onto UC and getting a new job i have worked out i am loosing my disability premimum which is around £400 a month. This is causing me great difficulty with making ends meet and quite frankly i think its disgusting!
Just wondering whether any one knows anything about this?0 -
