Home and dry date?

Options
Hi guys, some advice please. Been in dispute with a parking co. all the way to small claims court, and a claim being issued against me.
I submitted my defence on June 21, the date of service was 22 June according to MCOL website, whatever that means, and this was 'notified' on 03/07/2017. At what point ie date, am I home and dry if I don't hear anything back by?

There's no 'home and dry date'. You're 'home and dry' when the other side informs you that they are discontinuing, the court strikes out the claim, or you win at the hearing.

You have to keep working on this as though it will proceed to court. You follow the timetable and deliver documents as directed by the court. Each time the other side fails to adhere to any of the deadlines, you drop an email to the court to inform them of the failure and ask that the case is struck out because of this. Don't expect the court to necessarily accede to your request.

You need to prepare for the long-run.

Call the court to see if the other party has submitted their Directions Questionnaire. If they didn't within 28 days, the case gets stayed - the pending file. The other party then has to pay to get it taken out of the pile which they usually don't do.
