Do beneficiaries have the right to demand to see a Trust Document in Scotland
Scotsfinn
My children are ultimate beneficiaries of a trust set up by their Grandad, under Scottish Law, but have never had any information on the trust or how it works from their mother or the trustees (a a lawyer (now deceased), an accountant and their grandmother. They recieve no updates from the trustees. We have copy of their grandfathers Will but it mostly cover details of The trust and The rights of the trustees.
There are no details of who ultimately benefits from the trust in what proportion or how. There are a nummer of grandchildren and none of them understand the Trust.
1. Under Scottish Law what rights do they have to demand to see the Trust Document
2. If they have a right, how do they exercise the right
3. The copy Will we have contains no details and is referred to as an "Extract". Is iT possible that a second or more detailled or more personal Will exists and if so how would they get sight of it?
