Shed temprature

Options
Guys ,

My shed tempreture gets as high as 40 degree as I have a smart sensor there

Is that dangerous in a sense that fuel or wd40 can self ignite?

I am worried as it is my car shed and has lots of carb cleaners, propane gas, map gas tourch and fuel electric generator

I don't want to leave the garage door open either

It is a skylight plastic shed

  • I think the temp in some parts of the world regularly gets up to 50 degrees or more, I haven't seen anything in the news re cars spontaneously combusting.

You shouldn't have a problem, but it's very much worth fitting vents to sheds (one high and one low on the opposite side) to get some air flow, keep humidity levels down and preserve your tools/equipment.

If you can find these in brown, they would be ideal for a shed.

I use the white ones on my external flat roofed garage and the browns ones as mentioned on my shed.

They wont self ignite but they might leak. I've twice had tins of paint stripper in aged cans leak in high temperature.

A couple of weeks ago I was driving a petrol car temperatures of 46 degrees. It didn't blow up, neither did the gas camping stove I had with me.
