Death Race
Jason Statham leads the cast of an action-thriller set in the post-industrial wasteland of tomorrow, with the world?s most brutal sporting event as its backdrop. A penitentiary full of felons has inspired the jailers to create a grisly pastime ripe for lucrative kickbacks. Now, adrenalized inmates, a global audience hungry for televised violence and a spectacular arena come together to form the Death Race. Three-time speedway champion Jensen Ames (Jason Statham) is an expert at survival in the harsh landscape that has become our country. Just as he thinks he has turned his life around, the ex-con is framed for a gruesome murder he didn?t commit. Forced to don the mask of the mythical driver Frankenstein?a crowd favorite who seems impossible to kill?Ames is given an easy choice by Terminal Island?s warden (Joan Allen): suit up or rot away in a cell. His face hidden by a metallic mask, one convict will be put through an insane three-day challenge. Ames must survive a gauntlet of the most vicious criminals in the country?s toughest prison to claim the prize of freedom. Driving a monster car outfitted with machine guns, flamethrowers and grenade launchers, one desperate man will destroy anything in his path to win the most twisted spectator sport on Earth.

A chance to see Guy Richie's new film, RocknRolla, at special previews in the cinema before it opens nationwide on 5th September 2008ROCKNROLLA
(15)
Starring: Gerard Butler, Gemma Arterton, Jeremy Piven, Thandie Newton, Tom Wilkinson, Jamie Campbell Bowemr, Idris Elba, Mark Strong.
Writer/director Guy Ritchie revisits the seedy, offbeat landscape of modern day London that he explored in his critically acclaimed films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, in RocknRolla.
When a Russian mobster orchestrates a crooked land deal, millions of dollars are up for grabs, and all of Londons criminal underworld wants in on the action. Everyone from a dangerous crime lord to a sexy accountant, a corrupt politician and down-on-their-luck petty thieves conspire, collude and collide with one another in an effort to get rich quick.
Welcome to the world of the ROCKNROLLA.
Gerard Butler stars as a character called One Two, a street-smart mobster who has learned to play both sides of the fence. Tom Wilkinson stars as the lethal head mobster, Lenny Cole, part of Londons old mob regime, which is quickly losing ground to the wealthier foreign mob. Thandie Newton stars as One Twos love interest, Stella, a smart and sexy accountant with ties to the underworld. Idris Elba stars as Mumbles, who is One Twos partner. Chris Ludacris Bridges stars as Roman, an American trying to break into the music scene in London.
