I hope this is of use to somebody...it's not clear if the registration is including today..it's says 'before' and 'by' in places and I don't know how strict they'll be

And the first movie we're giving you the chance to see before anyone else is (drum roll)... Son of Rambow! This fantastic new coming-of-age comedy (cert. 12A) from director Garth Jennings (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) is set to be one of 2008's breakout hits, and if you're a signed up member of the Grant Lauchlan Film Club you could be seeing it before anyone else! Read on to get the answers to all your questions...

How does it work? We'll be putting on a number of special screenings of Son of Rambow across Scotland prior to its national release (4 April). Anyone signed up to the Grant Lauchlan Film Club by Thursday 13 March will receive an email telling them how they can get hold of a free pair of tickets for the screening nearest to them.

How do I join? Just fill in the form below; we'll add your email to the list and ensure that you get the ticket info first!

Tell me more about Son of Rambow? Starring new young actors Will Poulter and Bill Milner, the film tells the story of two boys in 1982 who see a pirate copy of Rambo and are inspired to make their own version. It's fantastically imaginative and uplifting, creating an accurate picture of the challenges of adolescent life while also being a hilariously nostalgic look at kids in the '80s. And it's got a flying dog in it.

So what are you waiting for? Get signed up before Thursday 13 March and we'll have all the details with you soon!

Edit: I posted this on the discussion thread not a free screening so adding to this post

...I came across this that may be of interest to Londoners. The Son of Rambow screening is £2 but there are other free workshops etc for anyone interested in film. It sounds quite good!! :j :T

I'm not sure if you have to be 'young' or it's just run by youngsters

    Sorry All Gone Now

SORRY that this isn't really a new one, but I'm not sure why the "Sorry All Gone Now" has been posted and that the actual code for this has been removed.

As most of us know - they have definitely NOT "all gone" until the actual screening has taken place.

    The removed code is 631214

Other codes already posted for this film, various locations and/or dates
Worth trying again until they've actually expired

    Funny games preview screenings

10.30 am sunday 23rd March at the following cineworld cinemas
    Nottingham
    Shaftsbury Ave
    Edinburgh
    Glasgow Refrew St

Take the voucher from the paper to one of the participating cinemas on 23rd March to claim a pair of preview tickets.
It then goes on to say (and I'm not sure I understand this bit)
"tickets can be redeemed from the box office between 16th and 21st March on a first come first served basis"

I can't find a synopsis of the film to cut and paste (supposed to be working!) but basically it seems to be about a family that is terrorised by 2 disturbed young men while on holiday. Stars Tim Roth and Naomi Watts. cert 18

PS....JUST SEEN THAT THIS IS ALSO IN TODAY'S GUARDIAN G2 SECTION

My Brother Is An Only Child

    image.jpg

This genial post-war family saga sees two Italian brothers perched on different sides of the political fence as their hormones run wild and the family home crumbles both figuratively and literally. Like Scorsese, director Daniele Luchetti uses her central character Accio (Elio Germano) as a narrative focal point to anchor an overview of an Italy still trapped in the shadow of fascism.
