    Deep Red (1975)

    Monday 30th July

    East London

    http://www.littlewhitelies.co.uk/blog/mubi-mondays-deep-red-21261

Fulfilling our commitment to celebrate the best cinema out there – whether old or new, classic or underrated – we’ve teamed up with online cinematheque MUBI to create a new free screening series which will take place in 71a, our brand-new basement screening room in East London.

Starting July 30 and continuing on the last Monday of every month, MUBI Mondays will see Team LWLies selecting a classic film from a repertoire that’s already been expertly curated by the programmers at MUBI, and screening it simultaneously with a live web broadcast.

The first MUBI Monday features Dario Argento’s 1975 giallo gem, Deep Red, in which David Hemmings goes on a blood-splashed hunt for a violent killer with a mysterious motive.

The evening begins at 19:00 with the film starting at 19:30, following a short intro by Team LWLies. Refreshments will be available on the night, tickets for which can be snapped up at mubimonday1.eventbrite.com

for anyone going to the Kingston screening of Brave on Saturday:

We are emailing to let you know that the screening of Disney Pixar\'s Brave in 3D at Kingston Odeon is going to be screened slightly later on Saturday, at 6pm for a 6:30pm start. This is due to the road closures in the morning for Olympic cycling.

Therefore the screening will not be showing at 10am for a 10:30am start.

Your current tickets will still be valid, so please bring these along to the screening on Saturday, at Kingston Odeon at 6pm.

We do hope you can make it and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

    Kind regards,
