    Buta Festival of Azerbaijani Arts
    Farhad Badalbeyli's setting of Ave Maria is a meditation on Azerbaijan's position at the meeting point of the Christian and Islamic worlds and a fusion of East and West. Composer and pianist Badalbeyli has set the famous prayer for two sopranos singing in Latin and Azeri which will feature alongside the well-loved settings by Schubert and Bach/Gounod, sung by Maria Kulishova and Burcin Gercek and accompanied by the Strings of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Marcus Bosch.
    The concert also features performances by the world renowned violinist Shlomo Mintz and talented Azerbaijani pianist Murad Huseynov.
