And another one from them (a donation is requested so not quite free....)

We have been given a few returned/cancelled tickets to an extraordinary event, ELOQUENT PROTEST on Sunday 8th November - Remembrance Day, at The Duke of Yorks Theatre.

Although free of charge (tickets are usually £18), although there will be a £5 donation required on the door towards The Mark Wright Project *

    About the event:

Feelgood Theatre Production's Eloquent Protest is returning by special request after the success of the same event at Trafalgar Studios in 2006, 2007 and 2008. This unique event is a powerful piece of theatre fusing music, poetry and drama. An artist's response to the price of war, which honours the fallen and counts the cost of their sacrifice.

'Hosted by former MP and veteran campaigner Tony Benn with dignity and brevity, this is an event for all those of us, myself included, born in the late 20th century onwards, who might pin on a poppy every November in no more than a polite gesture of good citizenship. The event could so easily have been melodramatic and depressing, but was instead uplifting and positive. It provoked not the easy emotion of show business, but real tears of real loss.'
    Aleks Sierz, TheatreVoice 2008

This year Tony will be joined by Robert Powell, Sam West, Jason Isaacs, Clive Rowe, Roy Bailey, Janie Dee, David Harsent, Jill Kemp, Peter Straker, Rupert Wickham, Maggie Preece, Jim Holmes, Matilda Wickham, Johnnie Fiori, Julian Littman, Fiona MacDonald, Charlotte Forrest, Sam Ellis, Dan Willis, Sally Burgess, Neal Thornton, David Harsent, Mende Nazer, Ben Goddard, Ben Griffin, Adnan Sarwar, Robin Colyer, Jeff Harmer, Reem Kelani, Ellie Paskall, Ellie Moran, Wendy Parkin, Jane Milligan and Hazel Roy. All artists are all giving of their time freely to explore the power of words and music against war.

*The proceeds will go to The Mark Wright Project which was created by the parents of 27 year old Corporal Mark Wright GC who died in Afghanistan, and aims to raise £4m to provide direct help for servicemen, women and bereaved families recovering from the invisible wounds of war.
