Fifty Dead Men Walking
When:
18:30 Mon Apr 6
Where:
Empire Leicester Square, 5-6 Leicester Square, London, WC2H 7NA
Based on Martin McGartland’s real-life memoir, ‘Fifty Dead Men Walking’ offers a harrowing insight into the Troubles in Northern Ireland in the late 1980s. Martin (Jim Sturgess) is a young lad from west Belfast who is recruited by the British police to spy on the IRA. He works his way up the ranks as a volunteer for the IRA while feeding live-saving information to his British handler (Ben Kingsley) in the process. Exposed, captured and tortured, Martin still manages to escape to tell his tale.
