We couldn't get a mortgage on a possessory title so the owners reapplied for absolute and got it (why it wasn't given initially I don't know). took 7 weeks once the application to the land registry was in. They need to expedite the application, which the land registry will only do if there's a sale on the table. But if there's a chance you won't get an absolute title, I'd walk away - or talk to lenders to see if they'd lend on a possessory, I didn't find one.0

Thank you. It isn't mine, it's my sellers (the upward chain). I think it's going to fall apart

Spoke to my solicitors this morning - if the sellers have the deeds then there's no problem or delay to the process. If they don't, then the LR currently take unto 16 weeks to process the application - this has to be completed before you can complete so a longish delay.30th June 2021 completely debt free…. Downsized, reduced working hours and living the dream.0
